We’re very grateful to have held Letters & Colors in Iloilo together with Abbey Sy organized by the Advertising students of Central Philippine University! 🙂 We had a blast last weekend and we really enjoyed meeting new faces and lots of good coffee and food.
First of, this is something that we didn’t expect to happen. We conceptualized Letters & Colors at my couch as a collab experimental workshop. Abbey & I would always work together but we never thought of coming up with a workshop prior to this because we thought our styles were very different. But then, we were thinking, if we actually talked about our different styles & workflows, maybe we will be able to share more to our participants.
This is only our second Letters & Colors outside Metro Manila. The first one was in Singapore.

We’re so overwhelmed with the hospitality of the students of Central Philippine University as well as their efforts. They turned this workshop into an event that also serves as a fundraising for the children of SOS Children’s village which I will discuss further in a different blog post.
To complete the workshop participants’ experience, they also made sure there were a lot of shops who participated (including National Bookstore) who sold our books above. There were also lots of giveaways! OMG. Thank you Summit Books & Faber-Castell–you put a smile on everyone’s faces! 🙂
I’m also grateful for making this a family event. We never really flew together for as a family for a workshop (except when I was pregnant with Riley & I went to SG). Haha. Thanks to my cousin Marion & her family for also turning this into a bonding event. Thanks too for touring Abbey around! 🙂 Also, special thanks to the hubby for taking shots of me while holding the workshop. I rarely have footage of myself roaming around and it took me years to finally have the courage to watch myself speak & move in front of a camera. *Woops!*
I don’t know how to end this post properly but my heart is just grateful for this opportunity to actually spread my love for colors in my mom’s hometown and be surrounded with family & friends (my cousins, Abbey, & Riley’s yaya included) 😀 Thanks too for being so sweet & paying attention to details such as how we love to try pancit molo, batchoy & the good food over at Breakthrough Restaurant! That was a fun celebratory dinner & I now have a new standard for my Bangus & sinigang! 😀 OMG on having shirts printed for the event too! Thank you Hua Lun Commercial!
