Travel Coloring Book: Around the World with the Googly Gooeys

I don’t know how to start with this post.  It feels so surreal.  Since we started the Googly Gooeys in 2009, I always secretly dreamed about having a book someday.  This year though, with the onset of coloring books and my love for colors, outlines and doodling, I told myself that perhaps we can release one by ourselves.  Coloring Book Cover (Announcement)

Then, Anvil Publishing asked if we can come up with a coloring book, we instantly said YES! 🙂  The hubby & I love traveling and we also love taking photos.  When I travel, I usually bring with me a bunch of art materials but rarely get to use them as we’re always on the go.  It’s funny how this is like the universe trying to catch up with my pending to-do list of drawing most of the places that we’ve been to! 🙂 It’s as if fate is telling me:

SIT DOWN.
DRAW.
NOW!

The timing is also apt as I was already pregnant and unfit to travel while I was doing this travel coloring book!

The book is comprised of sixty  pages of coloring and activity sheets in geometric shapes and doodles!  Most of the pages also have a QR code and a mini story so you can relive our travels with us through our blog posts. 🙂  You might have already seen some sneak peek on Instagram now & then:

The book will be available in National Bookstore branches next week but if you’d like to get the first dibs, see you this Sunday, December 13, 2-5pm at the Manila Children’s Festival, Megatrade Hall 3, Buildling B, SM Megamall.

Children's Book Fair

Together with National Bookstore & Anvil we will be having a coloring session on a giant coloring sheet and the first 100 participants will get their hands on sample sheets from our book. Coloring materials will be provided for the afternoon by Faber-Castell.

Coincidentally, my tiny dancers also made it to the INKredible Coloring book for Big and Small People by Ilustrador ng Kabataan!  I actually don’t know if I sound emotionless at this point. I’m currently the O_o emoji personified as I can’t believe this is all happening!   Maybe there are just too many emotions at once my brain is confused as to which one to prioritize. Hehehe. 🙂

Well, that’s it folks!  See you this Sunday for another colorful day! 🙂

XOXO,

Tipsy ♥
