Each set has 12 detachable colors. But, if you ask me, there’s so much that you can actually do with this! 🙂 To expand your palette, you can actually:
1) Make your colors lighter by adding water…lots of water to produce pastel hues.
2) Create desaturated tones by adding purple OR brown
3) Mix it with the colors beside it.
4) Mix 2-4 colors at a time.
For example, let’s take magenta. By applying the rules above, we get:
1) Magenta + Lots of Water = Rosy Pink (if you really want pink, you can use the white tube).
2) Magenta + Purple / Magenta + Brown
3) Magenta + Light Blue / Magenta + Red Orange / Magenta + Yellow Orange / Magenta + Cobalt Blue
4) Magneta + Red Orange + Cobalt Blue + Purple

I’m actually pretty happy with this set because this is how I work. I don’t have my own red. I create my red by mixing pink & red orange. 🙂 I also love mixing bluegreen and cobalt blue with everything. So all in all, the Faber-Castell Watercolor set is a good starter kit. Yes, as you may have noticed. I’m not such a neat worker. Hehe. 😀

The Lettering Progress Keeper is a good paper for painting and lettering practice as it is both watercolor & ink friendly. The paper is 200gsm (grams per square meter) and it’s made by Canson which is locally distributed by Ifex Philippines. 
For some of you who have already attended one of my workshops, you have encountered this same type of paper. This was also the paper I used for my Inky Doodles work which is a combo of flat watercolor washes & sumi ink outlines using a dip pen.
Of course, the cover is made by none other than Abbey Sy herself that’s why we’re giving this away! 🙂 The Lettering Progress Keeper also has a different texture on each side so you can choose if you’d like to work on a rough or smooth surface.
I was thrilled when I was asked to do a page of 65 stickers for the 1,001 Awesome Stickers book. I saw the first 2 editions of this book and thought, “Wow. How to join? I hope I get to draw for kids someday.” Fast forward to early this year, I was giddy while I was working on my page. Well, okay. I was also pressured to finish my page properly because the artists in they tapped in this book were mostly my idols from Ilustrador ng Kabataan. *#TheStruggleIsReal* Haha.
I was assigned to do landmarks in stamps! So apt that somehow, I always get a travel assignment of sorts. 🙂

Today’s all about neon as we add 4 notebooks from our Oh Brighter Days collaboration and 2 pairs of Havaianas Lakbay Flip Flops designed by Abbey Sy.
One of the things I was grateful for this year was being asked to collaborate with Heima for their Oh Brighter Days collection. As I’ve mentioned before, I was always the type who would attend Heima parties just to witness designs and paintings being launched. I didn’t know that one day, I’d actually be asked to work with them! 🙂

As I’m counting down the days to giving birth and getting busy with last-minute projects and errands, I really miss being able to do abstract art! *You just don’t know how many hours have been devoted to doctor visits and baby stuff shopping & fixing our homes.*
Anyhooz, the furniture collection is still available for viewing at Heima Brixton if you’d like to relive those Oh Brighter Days! You can also get your OhBD notebooks there. The notebook has 100gsm paper and it can withstand watercolor brush strokes. It’s both lined & dotted so you guys can choose if you’d like to use it for your notes or doodles. 🙂
Recently, the Havaianas Filipinas collection was launched. Havaianas tapped three local artists and one of them was Abbey Sy. Her piece is all about traveling and exploring the unkown so I just thought it was apt to have a photo of her pair with her sketch book and sticker. 🙂
I’m a proud owner of this pair and I can’t wait to wear them during my next workout since it will be a long time ’til I go to the beach again and umm…yes…I find it hard to reach the floor so I need to let go of all my pairs of sandals soon. :D

I’m currently torn which one is it I’m supposed to announce first. I’m excited about the fact that we will be giving away 5 sets Faber-Castell Pitt Pens! These are the sets of the coveted brush pens. As much as you can use them for lettering, they’re also ideal for coloring in doodles, brush sketches and of course, coloring books! 🙂
I just got copies of our printed coloring books last night (Yes, we have a coloring book & you can read about it here) and pretty much spent the whole day coloring in these pages with them Pitt pens. I must say I do have a bias for using brush pens when coloring in pages like these because just like a watercolor brush, you can choose to use the tiniest point of the pen when working on tight corners. Then, you can press it down if you want to be more efficient and cover a bigger area! 🙂
They’re also good for blending and it dries quickly enough that it’s lefty friendly. *Oh, the struggles of a lefty. You just don’t know how many times I have to go out of the house with ink marks on my forearm.* Also, this is the most behaved marker I’ve dealt with so far since the ink doesn’t seep through the other pages as much as the other brands! This is such a relief because our coloring book has back-to-back pages. 😀

I don’t know how to describe the book to you when I know that a lot of you have already stumbled upon this! 🙂 Haha. Her book encourages people how to get started with lettering: from the terms to lay-outing, inking with lots of sample works to be inspired by!
So grateful to have been one of the featured artists too! 🙂 I’m not 100% a letterer but I really enjoy digitizing my brush lettering work for comics and invite and recently, our coloring book.

So, aside from the coloring book above, I’m also grateful to have been part of these two Ilustrador ng Kabataan (INK) coloring books. When I was posting WIP’s of the Around the World with the Googly Gooeys on Instagram, a lot of you have been requesting for my dancing doodles to be included in it. So, when I had the opportunity to submit, I chose two Filipino-themed dances namely Singkil & Tinikling.
Staring at these three coloring books makes me laugh. It brings me back to a crazy time when I had to work on my coloring sheets, submit these two sheets, submit stuff for the INK exhibit, prepare a presentation for the Color Pop Fair and prepare for a couple of workshops. *OMG, I survived!*
These coloring books also have 60 pages of drawings each & was done by a team of 78 illustrators all in all! *Yasss!* They were also published by Take Five, an imprint of Anvil Publishing, Inc. and will be available in National Bookstore branches starting this week! So guess what? We’re giving away 10 boxes of Kitkat Rubies! 🙂 We’re so happy we have these in the line up! These are made up of truffle and wafer. So much hazelnut goodness it’s actually hard to stop once you’ve started opening one. Remember the Kitkat Rubies post here? Letters from ABC is a project by Abbey Sy. This is a box with 26 designs & 52 postcards. You know what feeling when you just love a postcard and you can’t seem to give it away? Yep, that’s why there’s two every design.
The designs are hand-painted and it covers all the letters of the Alphabet hence it’s dubbed as Letters from ABC. 🙂
This is the reason why we’re holding the giveaway. While we were finishing our respective projects, we would meet up and work together. We dubbed ourselves as officemates because it seemed like it! We were chasing deadlines, managing content, thinking about our lay-outs, juggling deadlines and trying to keep each other sane because while we were busy with this, we also had workshops, events and blog posts to keep up with aside from our personal lives!
Anyway, enough of the drama. I just want to say, congratulations to zee officemate for coming up with this! I’m so happy with the pattern on the box too! This is one of them designs that didn’t make it to the ABCs of Hand Lettering but I always thought it deserved its special place somewhere. ♥
Now what better way to celebrate the end of the year but with Abbey Sy who has been my constant “officemate” this year. What prize would I like to win and why? If given the chance, I would love to receive the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser. My sister had an old Asus laptop which served her well for more than 6 years, so I have been dreaming of owning an Asus device someday. Having witnessed the durability, dependability, and adaptability of the Asus technology, it would be an honor to win one. Why I haven’t been able to buy an Asus device to this day, is because I devote all my meager earnings to support my family. I still own a stone-age like, candy bar phone which is slowly reaching its end of days. As a struggling parent and freelance writer, an Asus Zenfone would definitely boost my daily activities and allow me to do my research work on the go.

If given the chance I would like to win the Asus Zenfone 2 laser as I’m leaving for college next year and would love a phone to keep in contact with my family back home.
I wish I’d win the Asus Zenphone 2 Laser so I could give it to my brother! He’s already in highschool and still doesn’t have a phone because my parents think he isn’t ready for one. I’ve seen my brother grow up and believe that he is ready to take on the responsibility of owning his own phone. I study in Manila but my family is in Cebu so I talk to my parents often but rarely to my sibling. I hope winning this phone will allow us to communicate better with each other.

Ang first workshop ko po ay sayo po Ate Tipsy, yung pagdating ko po sa venue super kabado po ako at nahihiya kasi wala po akong kaalam alam sa watercolor. Pero nung nagstart po akong mag-workshop super nag-enjoy po ako. Yung final output pa nga pong ginawa ko noon ay si Darren Espanto, pinadrawing ko lang po kay ate Tippy ako lang po nagkulay. HAHA! Na-picture-an ko po pero sa phone lng po ng kapatid ko tapos na-delete nya po kasi po akala nya na-send ko na po sa fb ko. T^T College student pa lng po ako kaya kahit anong ipon ko po nagagastos din kasi po pambili ng books. I’ve been waiting, patiently and full of excitement as i hear Ate Abbey and Ms. Tippy’s collaboration giveaway. And here it isss!! Realtalk : I want to have a lot of art supplies for my typography and handlettering hobby. Its my own way of relaxation especially on my stressful degree- engineering. Especially when you very artsy but your broke HAHA Right now, ive been experimenting a lot on various styles from retro, gothic lettering, brush type and mixing a lot of these styles and other various. She has been hospitalized just two weeks ago due to hypertension and an infection was found on her lungs. Thanks God that she is all right now and she is presently home medicated. Lately, I am so interested with anything related to arts and calligraphy. I was practicing at home and watching different tutorials if I have time. Any prize would be great, but I got my eye on those Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens!! Hand lettering has definitely been a great journey for me since I started just last summer, and I’ve been experimenting with different tools and pens. After joining a workshop with Abbey, I definitely knew that I could pursue lettering and calligraphy as a talent and future work (still a student!). I have a collection of brush pens, but just cheap ones. Any prize would be great, as long as it’s from you guys <3

The prize I would like to get is any of these things. The really awesome things in this giveaway are pretty much everything I’ve always wanted for Christmas or for my birthday especially the Brush Pens because they are quite hard to find in my area!

As much as I wanted to grab everything (huehue), I decided to choose the things where upon seeing the item, my heart instantly beat at a rapid pace and it whispered fluttering giggles into me. I would love to win the Faber-Castell Pitt pens because as a beginner, I have not mastered a steady hand. Hopefully, with the Pitt pens, I am able to practice the art of hand lettering with the brush-like tips of the pens so that as I improve, I am able to practice and master hand lettering with actual paint and brushes.

I would like to win either the Asus Zenfone or the brush pen set. Wanting to win the Asus zenfone is a no brainer – it’s such a cool phone. For its price, the specs are really topnotch and could easily rival the higher end brands. I would use it to keep track of my progress by taking photos and sharing them to friends through IG! 🙂 If not the phone, I would also like to win the brush pen set. I am more inclined to doing watercolor works, however, I’ve recently started working on brush calligraphy to add a bit of flair to my watercolor artworks. For me, it would either be the Faber-Castell Pitt Pens or the ASUS Zenfone 2. What first caught my attention about the pens was the fact that they was lefty-friendly. Being left-handed, I always had to place an index card under my hand while I drew because my work would smudge if I didn’t. It’s difficult to find materials that lessen the need for this. Also, I’ve always been a sucker for pens and use them as my medium in honing my lettering/calligraphy skills. As for the ASUS Zenfone 2, I want to win it so that I can gift it to my mother, since she works a lot and likes to take pictures to send to my brothers and I when she’s not around. I want to give it to her as a present because I feel like she’s done a lot for me and my siblings, and would like to help her out in my own way, especially when it comes to things she likes.

What prize would I like to win? And why?
I’ll be appreciative to be able to receive any of the prizes, just the thought of this post makes heart flatters, that you guys have thought and appreciate us, your fans for this season.
But truth be told .. If I was given the opportunity to choose what I’d like to win:
(1) I’ll probably go for the Havaianas Flip Flops designed by Abbey Sy, I want to have those special edition Flip Flops. The design is superb and A+ and I really love the color and the doodles in it.
(2) Of course the AsusZenphone 2 Laser ~ Who wouldn’t want a new phone for this season? But the sole purpose why I want to have the smartphone is because of its specs. Functional, classy and compact, that’s what I’m looking for in a smartphone.
(3) Lastly, in any of the art stuff but I’m rooting for the Faber Castell Water Colors, I’ve seen one of those actually, my prof uses that brand and saw how it works, and it works like a magic, it looks like with every touch of those colors, artwork turns mighty fine lol but seriously any of the art stuff, the items listed above are kinda expensive but the quality is great I couldn’t ask for more, but I have priorities to buy for this season so the art stuff will probably in the 2nd to Last in my list.

I would love to win an Asus Zenfone 2 Laser as a Christmas gift for my elder brother. He’s the most understanding among my 4 siblings. Even if at times I become unfair and hard to deal with, he never fails to be the big brother who cares to a fault.
Next option would be the Havaianas. Truth be told, I have never owned this flip-flop before so it would be nice to finally grasp a pair by the end of the year.
I may not be an artist per se but I swear my day brightens up by seeing anything colorful and cute. If I get to have a copy Abbey Sy’s ABCs of HandLettering, it will surely open an opportunity for me to hone the not so developed creative side of me.

Usually, I’d be faced with a dilemma whether to buy the expensive, high quality products are those that are cheaper but aren’t as good. However, before I am able to make such decision, I would have to carefully budget my allowance, sometimes to the extent of sacrificing food money.
I am deeply in love with the wash technique. As a high school student with lots of projects to tend to, it has always been my favorite medium to work on for my outputs. I would like to win a pair of Havaianas Filipinas Lakbay Edition for myself. PITT ARTIST PEN for me please! Haha! Since Faber-Castell released them and I’ve been seeing your IG posts (and Ms. Abbey’s) and all other calligraphy artists’ with those pens, I immediately fell inlove with it. Never tried it but it looks like it’s the greatest creation for brush calligraphy, lettering and coloring (full-package!). I’ve been maximizing my money around calligraphy toys but I can’t afford this one yet. Huhu! It’s already on top of my wishlist. (Please Santa, please) So, though I know I’m not lucky with giveaways, I would still give this a shot. “wala namang mawawala e” as the saying goes and if the Pitt pens, weren’t destined to be mine, anything would do cause I love art. What I want? Anything would be a blessing, but I think the ones that will help me most would be the Pitt Pens and coloring books or sketch pads. Why I want to win? Pretty simple. I’ve lived in a black and white world most of my life, just paper and spilled ink.
I’m not very artistic. I’m artistically impaired, to be honest, but I want to try and do what others can. I want to make an effort and being half past broke, is going to make it hard to find good materials. My friends are great at art, especially my best friend. She can draw wonderful portraits.
Working with my mental state has been hard and I’ve been finding ways to keep myself okay. I’ve recently thought about adding color to my world where darkness lurks and where lights are dim. I not only want this, I pretty much need it.
It’s hard being the electron surrounding a nucleus. It’s hard being the negative charge. There’s a baby in the house now and I don’t want myself tainting him with depression. He needs a happy environment and if I’m going to be part of that environment, I’m not going to be the sad one.
I’ve been a fan of the both of you (you and Abbey) on instagram for quite a while now, not-so-creepily stalking your accounts on a weekly basis. You’ve inspired me to start lettering and try experimenting with watercolor which I think, will help me through my not so happy days. I’m a big fan of art, just not very good at it. It’s never really bad to try, right?

I would love to win any of these prizes but I’m thrilled about The ABCs of Hand Lettering the most, as well as her sketchpads. I love the Faber-Castell Watercolor Set too. Man, that looks so cool. I’ve always been passionate about the arts and it’s sad to say I didn’t take it up as my own college program because of my parents (and partly, I thought it was good to separate my hobby from being a day job that will wear me out and lose essence of core.) You could say I’m a frustrated artist in that sense. For me, art is my outlet for stress and it’s a medium I use to reconnect with myself, even if most people don’t appreciate it that much. If I could pick one though, I pick the Brush Pen set of Faber-Castell because I plan to win it, not for myself, but for my bestfriend. She is starting calligraphy and lettering as her new hobby and she only has one brush pen so far. How I wish I could afford to buy some for her but brush pens are not really that cheap. So it would really bring her much joy if I could give her brush pen for Christmas <3 (and she actually got her very first brush pen from an ACLE last semester on UP Diliman where she got to meet lots of talented artists like Googly Gooeys and Abbey Sy).
I really really really really hope to win the phone for the main reason that I need one SO BADLY. Just last month, my phone’s power button and charging port gave up and phone technicians have advised that it’s irreplaceable. The way I use my phone now is to charge the battery separately and once fully charged, I turn on my phone using 2 knives (SERIOUSLY). And just a week ago, someone broke into our house and stole my laptop. I honestly don’t have budget to purchase a new phone or a new laptop because I am paying for my sister’s tuition fee so more than just “liking” the phone, I really need it. Thank you huhuhu.

Because these people inspired me to pursue my artistic endeavors. First, I would want the Around the World by Googly Gooeys Coloring Book because travelling is one of my passions that I would want to pursue. One of my things in my Bucket List is to travel around the world and one thing I can do to remember the beauty of that place is to take pictures and… color the places I’ve been to! 🙂 Second, I would want the set of 12 Faber-Castell Pitt Pens because I only have 2 brush pens, and those are just the ones I got from the Googly Gooeys Workshops. Ako si Tina, isang self-taught sometime graphic designer . Nanonood lang sa youtube para matuto. Umaattend ako sa mga libreng workshops at exhibits. Minsan napanood ko na si Abbey sa 10-A Alabama at dahil sa kanya biglang bumalik ang pagkahilig ko sa hand-lettering (nagsimula ako nung elementarya ako). Ang galing niya! Sumunod ay nagkaroon kayo ng workshop (googley gooeys) pero hindi talaga kaya ng budget ko. Sinagot ng boyfriend ko ang workshop dahil alam niyang gustong gusto ko maka-attend dito. Sobrang natuwa ako. 🙂 Madami akong natutunan sa inyo. Gusto ko ipagpatuloy ang mga natutunan ko pero sketch pad at sign pen palang ang meron ako. I’m an accountancy student with this passion of art. Never before was I into art but a lot of factors inspired me to be. Like, who said I can’t be an artist. Once in my Humanities class, our teacher said that everyone could be an artist. And I have a strong hold on that point. I believe I can too and everyone can regardless of what you are or who you are. Well, I am very inspired of you Ms. Abby Sy and all the people behind this give away because you give all the people like me the hope that we can be someone others thought we actually can’t be. How can I possibly decide what I want? Of course, the phone would be awesome, but I would super love the Pitt pens or the watercolors (or the sketchpads or the OHBD notebooks . . . basically the colorful stuff that’s not wearable haha). Why? Well, let me tell you a story about how lettering kinda saved my life. It was a cold dark night . . . kidding. Let’s just say that no matter how dark life can get, there will always be colors all around you. One only has to look in the right direction. So there, I kinda need the colors and I’d really love to share the colors to the rest of the world. I would like to win the asus phone and the pitt pens from faber castell. The phone will be really be helpful for me because my phone is the only gadget i have, been with me for 8 months, and it’s already giving up XD Plus i have a concert to attend on January next year and it would be really enjoyable if I can capture all the memories with a new phone with a good camera! For the pitt pens, I heard it’s really good brush pens. I love brush lettering so much so i really want to try those brush pens. Not only for lettering, I’m a 14-year-old who loves drawing! I have never tried drawing with brush or even watercolor and the brush pens would be the perfect tool for practice!

Hello! I know it will be a long shot to win any of your giveaways, but I’m still going to try my luck and if God wills that I win at all 🙂
I don’t know how many prizes we can get, but these are what I’d like to gain: the INK coloring books, a set of Faber-Castell Pitt Pens, and Asus Zenphone 2 Laser!
Why INK coloring books? Because from the previous above, the illustrations look cute and not too detailed; easy to color and the coloring materials that I’ll be using won’t have to be super-sharpened just to properly color a tight space (my experience from other coloring books).
Why Faber-Castell PITT Pens? I’m more of a marker-medium and brush-medium person (watercolor not counted since I don’t really make any art using it bec. it’s hard for me to use). And I’ve always wanted to get some markers to try (like Copics or Prismacolor), but they’re too expensive and I can’t do much art since my color selection is always limited to 2-3 colors that I could only buy. So, I’m going to try my luck with winning a set of PITT pen (plus, I’ve also tested some of them and I love that they don’t bleed on the back page; good for using in coloring books!)
Lastly, why Asus Zenphone 2 Laser? I see a lot of artists showcasing their art with such good shots. I’ve always took a pic of my works and upload them on my social media accounts, but the camera on my phone can’t give a crisp/detailed shot. I am an 18-year-old Fine arts student and never have I ever had my own phone. So I would totally be ecstatic to win Asus Zenphone 2 Laser. As a fine arts student, it’s an essential for us but growing up poor, I had to make compromises.

#1 It would really make me very very very very (x infinite) happy to win something I really love to use. It would make me happy like a child recieving their gifts from Santa on a Christmas morning, or a person who recieved dogs as gifts.

My life as an architecture student has been very challenging
because I wasn’t able to buy the things I needed because my financial standing
is a bit below average. For almost five years, I was drawn closer to know and
understand arts. I realized that it comes with different shapes and sizes as
others would say it.
The respect and recognition I would like to express to the
artworks I created and saw since my earlier years in architecture school here
in the province was really frustrating as I would like others to see the things
I created and witnessed. If I would have the chance to win ASUS ZENFONE 2
LASER, it would be the greatest honour because the only gadget I could use to
take a picture was my laptop’s webcam. As much as I would like to share my
works: letterings, doodles and watercolour paintings, I could not because
editing applications cannot be used for the low resolution captured by my
webcam.

Asking what prize I’d like to win is one of the toughest questions I’ve had to answer in a while. If only I could win them all but anything would be more than enough! To be honest, winning will be like both a Christmas and a birthday gift. ☺
But since I only get to choose one, the Asus Zenfone is definitely on the top of my list. Who wouldn’t want one, right? It does not only have a sleek design but also features that are really impressive. I’ve stumbled upon this phone once and it has really captured my attention. I hope I could have one. I love the camera – it’s perfect for capturing special moments with family and friends.
However, if I don’t get to win the Asus Zenfone, I so looooooooooooooove the brush pens. Being an aspiring typographer and letterer, I’ve always hoarded pens that could help me become better. What prize would I like to win and why?
To be honest, I cannot choose. I really like everything they’re going to be giving away, but I’m not going to say that I want everything because I also would like others to have it. With this, I, actually, had to ponder over it for a day and decide what prize I would like to win. I had to go over the list over again and again just to make sure that I choose what catches my eye (and what I know that I’ll be using for a very long time). I have came up with the decision.
Since I really feel passionate about starting calligraphy and typography(I have watched tutorials and tried my hand on it), I would love to have the water color sets and lettering progress keeper. These two are the perfect combination, for me, in starting in learning how to write calligraphy and photography. I always have an “artistic” eye for things like art, but it saddens me that I cannot even do it. I have been trying so hard on learning how to do it but I know that I don’t have the right tools that I can use in starting doing it. I know how to do cursive writing but that’s only it. I want to take my skill up a notch because people are telling me that I write good in it so since I have that skill, I can do more with it so it will be put into a good use (other than writing). Also, this can help me in my Advertising classes. I am taking of AB in Communication and as a part of our curriculum, we are taking advertising classes. I know that this will be a great help to me for it will give me an edge in typography and calligraphy.

The ABCs of Hand Letterings by Ms. Abbey Sy is definitely in my bucket list. The first time I saw the book was when I accidentally read an article in Candy magazine about how Ms Abbey makes magic using her pen,marker and brush. I’m so into little things and details and I love how she explores the use of a pen, marker and brush.
I love anything that is hand-made but I do not know in what aspect I am good at but when I saw the book, I started to have an interest in hand letterings. Ms Abbey Sy is one of my inspiration. My friends says that my hand lettering is good so, by having your book I think that I can enhance my hand letterings and explores the boundaries with the use of my “own” pen. Hi, first I want to thank you for your generosity. If given the opportunity I would like to win the 5 sets Faber-Castell Pitt Pens. Since I became pregnant with my first child, I’ve been hooked to adult coloring books and hand lettering. It became my hobby and stress reliever since I was advised to be on bed rest for the duration of my pregnancy. Unfortunately, last December 3, I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks. It is truly a devastating and depressing experience for me and my family. I am still recovering emotionally at this time ang it will be a great gift for me this Holidays.

I almost laugh at the question if what prize would I want and why, I actually answered immediately inside my head “ALL!!!”. Well I want them all (I wanna hoard them all mwahahahaha) No seriously I love all of them. I really wanted to have the ASUS Zenphone 2 Laser since I love taking pictures using a handy gadget, the cellphone. But developing a new hobby like coloring and hand lettering made my 22 years old self realize that you can still have a new hobby aside from taking pictures, travelling, and reading books.
I just started doing hand lettering and it made me realize that I am capable of doing art myself. I am not very confident with my drawing skills (I can only draw a stick man. Hehe) but then I became interested with hand lettering. It was hard at first but it is true that “practice makes perfect!” Also, coloring books helped me release all the pressure after a long day and it is more fun and exciting when I share coloring books with my older sister (who is 10 years older than me) and her daughter. Coloring books serve as our bonding time together.
If given a chance to be picked as a winner, the Faber-Castell Pitt Pens and coloring books or the ABCs of Hand Lettering/Progress Keeper would be great so I can share it with my sister and niece and at the same time, continue to enrich my knowledge with hand lettering. The ASUS Zenphone would be great too so I could share to other people the beauty of the world through pictures.

I’ve been doodling silly letterings since 3rd grade and I have always been fascinated at how it can represent a name of a person, a place or highlight an important word with style. It’s also really refreshing to see all the colors that I get to see on artsy letterings because it motivates me to go back to doing it, but alas, I am a frustrated artist although it hasn’t stopped me from experimenting with various strokes and curves. 🙂

If I were to pick, though, I’d want the brushpens and the Progress Keeper. Am I too selfish? Probably. But, honestly, the stickers and the postcards are absolutely gorgeous! Gosh, do I admire you guys!
Why the Progress Keeper, anyways?
I’m.. er.. not exactly great at brush lettering at the moment. Which is precisely why I need this. I want to improve. Practice, practice, practice. The same goes with the pens. I mean, who wouldn’t want those good pens? Really, though, I have this desire to be someone. To be able to do something. To be able to show the world that I am capable of working hard and standing on my own feet. Dramatic, right? But isn’t this what we all felt at first? The thirst for growth, the pain of not being good enough and the despair at the verge of giving up. I’ve felt that countless of times. And, I’m telling you, the feeling is deadly.
Moving on. Your stickers and postcards! No particular reason, really. Well, except for the fact that they are ABSOLUTELY amazing! Sometimes I’d like to think about what I’d be when I grow, and I think whether I’d be able to pursue my passion as you did.

Ok, I’m pretty sure I left a comment at some point when the only prize was a phone, but now that you’ve announced all the other prizes, you have me drooling and ugly crying out of wanting so many things.
To begin with, I want all the paper products. I grew up having the craziest obsession with paper and notebooks and lovely stationery, and, well, I didn’t use them. They were my collection, okay? But it seems only fitting that years later, I’m now in a position where I’m making use of my collection. I’m studying abroad, and I want to send letters to my friends back in the PH during Valentine’s Day, because I love them like that. If I can win that set of postcards, then that’s even more fun!
Growing up, I also read a lot of books. Getting lost in stories was my favorite thing to do, and my love affair with words have only continued with lettering. So I’ve got heart eyes for all of the notebooks–the OhBD notebooks, the progress keeper, and the sketch pads. You can never, ever have too much paper products. Those PITT pens would be awesome too, especially since they’re so travel-friendly. Watercolor is fun and all, but brush pens are really awesome too. Especially since I find myself making to-do lists to be productive in college; I’ve found that the secret to making myself excited to do schoolwork is completing a checklist, and what would be better than doing it in a pretty notebook? And I really, really love using brush pens to do it, because it’s so therapeutic to just write something with it for a few minutes. It’s such a great way to destress, and that’s what happens when you do something you love.
But yeah, it would absolutely make my Christmas to win any of the items here, especially since they’re from two wonderful inspirations. If I do win something, I’d be sure to use it, whether it be the postcards to send, the PITT pens to write, the notebook for my checklists, or the progress keeper or sketch pads for lettering. It was stated that we can never live unless we learn how to give. In my 19 years of existence the only thing I knew I can give are photographs/is photography. With the help of Asus Zenfone and it’s photograph-friendly 13mp rear camera and 5mp front camera I’ll be able to capture moments people love, especially with my specialty of taking candid shots. I’m never that perfect with the craft yet, I always wanted to learn more and practice more until my phone was damaged because of a buwis-buhay(buwis-buhay ng cellphone) shot in the beach last September 19. It’s been awhile and I’m missing doing the thing already :'( Sad to know that this 28th I’ll be turning 20 and I wont be able love to take shots of memories for that day.Phone cameras are the most comfy ones because one can easily share the pictures and give reasons to smile. I would really want to win the coloring books, lettering books, and Faber Castell PITT Pens! I’ve been lettering since high school but I really need to hone my skills and the lettering books would be perfect in helping me achieve it. I’ve been eyeing Abbey’s book since it was released but I haven’t gotten around purchasing one. Maybe I’ll eventually have my own by winning through the raffle :p The coloring books help me destress from med school, when I do find time to color :)) I also find the Filipino made coloring books better than the other ones in the market. The PITT pens would be perfect for coloring them in, and for practicing calligraphy on the go 😀 Joining this raffle gives me something to look forward to as the holidays end (even if my chances of winning aren’t guaranteed :p)

Copies of INK’s Coloring Books– I am a fan of this group of artists. I am a frustrated children’s book illustrator and their works never fail to inspire me to start pursuing my dream to make good art for young people. One of goals for 2016 is to visit more of their exhibits. To own copies of their coloring book is like having my own piece of INK artwork.
Googly Gooeys Coloring Book and brush pens– I have been following Googly Gooeys in Tumblr since around 2010 or 2011! I feel very happy for you now thay you have your own coloring book (which I know is awesome!) and a baby on the way (who I know will be oh so adorable!).

I would like to win the ABC sketchpad and the Letter Progress Keeper. It is difficult to find quality paper locally. Most of them are expensive and hard to get a hold of. It would be amazing to have something to practice sketching, lettering, calligraphy and coloring on. Like Abbey Sy always say, “Always be creating”
Do I have to choose? 😀 Gaaahh… I love everything! Honestly, I would love to win the ASUS phone for my hubby who’s still using his super old Nokia E63… It’s falling apart but he still won’t buy a new one, and he won’t let me buy a new one for him… Aside from that one little thought, I do think every prize is super incredible… I wanted to learn calligraphy but I don’t think I have the patience for that so I do a bit of lettering and doodling… The ABC’s of Hand Lettering would really help me through this and give me inspiration and ideas…. I definitely want to win the ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser. ^_^ My reason is that, I’m planning to replace my current smartphone (LG G Pro Lite Dual) that I’ve using for the past four months. It’s not that I don’t like my smartphone anymore; as long as a smartphone serves my daily smartphone needs, I’m fine with that. Haha! I’ll be giving my smartphone to my mom on her birthday this coming January 5. 🙂 She needs it more than I do. Why? Because, (1) it has an “IR Blaster” that can serve as a remote control for TV/DVD/Blu-Ray. B-) What a nice gift that can solve her “where’s-the-remote?!” kind of problems. Haha! First, If I ever got lucky to win the Asus Zenfone, I would give it to my father because he’s the one who bought things I wanted even though he only borrowing money from others. He also drove me to school even though I’m already a college student but what he always said to me that he just wants to make sure that his little girl is safe. Even though he’s old, it’s really sweet for him to do those kind of things for me. Why I want to give him a new phone? I want to change his old keypad phone which he used it for almost 8 years. He used to me bought me a new phone but he hasn’t bought something new for himself. I want him to experience having an Android and touch-screen phone because I know that it more efficient and useful. I would love to reward him something BIG for everything he have done to me. But if I don’t win the phone, the Kitkat Rubies would also be a better reward for him since he likes chocolates more than I do.
Second, If I ever got lucky to win the Havaianas pair, I would give it to my mother because she loves any footwear and she is my light. She is always the light of our family. She is prepares food for our family and she also cleans my room even though I was the one who needed to clean my own room. I also regret that I didn’t help her whenever she cooks or prepares food. I want to reward her a Havaianas slippers because I want to change her old not-known branded slipper she bought somewhere. Even though me and my mom always argue to each other, I want to give her a pair of slippers for the sacrifices she had made to our family. She is our hero, she will always be.

if i win the cellphone, i’d give it to my twin sister. Last August her whole bag that contains her phone drawing kits and brush pens, was stolen in a food chain. Since we didn’t have enough money to buy her a new phone, because we’re only 16 and our family has a lot of things to pay and think about. We didn’t communicate for a while during the day when she’s in school. We didn’t know if she was in school or not or how was she doing, this happened for two months until the day that my dad found a very old phone for her to use to communicate with us. I can see that she has been struggling to use the phone, sometimes I call her but she doesn’t even receive a phone call. The keypads are too “lubog” to type on but she still uses it because she has no other option. It is really hard to contact her especially in times of need. If ever I win, I would want to bless her a new phone this holiday. I’d like to make her holidays a very special one.
I’ve also been keeping an eye on those brush pens ever since i first saw them on a post in ig. I really want to win those for myself too. I’d gladly share it to my twin sister because we both have the same passion for art. We could use it in so many things and on our upcoming school art projects. I like to win anything on the lists. Christmas day is my birthday. It was quite a bit sad that I didn’t received any material gifts. So I guess anything from you will really make me happy. Please don’t get me wrong, my life is the best gift I received ever. I just want and hope for something wrapped and is given by someone 🙂
im not sure what i’ll do–but im into calligraphy and watercolors. well, it would be great to have the lettering book or the lettering progress keeper because i really enjoy this as a hobby. i watched several videos on youtube (as a starter) and it says there are no rules, and all you need to do is to follow your heart. and maybe that’s why im here. it gives me joy and satisfaction. things like what i want to do when I grow up and what profession i like always enter my mind. i m studying in a science high school and the thing is, its a STEM program (science and technology education and mathematics) but im not so smart like my classmates. if i wont take major courses in college, might as well transfer in a different program or school. my teacher in history called me to answer a situational question in front of the class. he’s a fierce one, i may say. he thinks my answer is so ideal that i immediately sit down because i feel so embarassed. he was lecturing me and all, giving examples on what will happen to me when i grew up. what do i really want? what makes me happy? I’ve been into deep thinking and im still stuck in there. im still young and all i want right now is to go places and create the things we call art. i want my mind to grow. and i think this is the first step. wow, its getting too long, i should probably end this.

Photography is my passion, which is why I always have my DSLR with me, no matter where, no matter what. Long travels by commute are a problem though, especially with unpredictable weather, so I have no choice but to leave it at home sometimes. However, just like the weather, I can never predict when I will encounter an interesting subject, and the opportunity is wasted because I had to leave my DSLR.

If given the chance to win any of these items above, I would like to win in particular the following items: Lettering books + Sketch pads, Progress Keepers + Watercolor Sets, Coloring books + Brush pens, and Letter from ABC postcards! With these items, I think I am more motivated to fulfill one of my 2016 resolutions, which is to do more of what makes me happy, and part of that would be to kickstart a new hobby. Back in highschool and college, I always doodle and do some lettering/typography on some pages of my notebooks. But I never had the chance to take lessons or workshops and take them on a next level. I just turned 24 last month and I am still positive that it’s not yet too late for me to work on this frustrated dream. What prize would I like to win and why?
First of all, I want to thank Abbey Sy for inspiring me. And now, I am sooo obsessed with calligraphy, drawing, painting, and coloring. I would also like to thank Ms. Abbey Sy, Googly Goeys, Artistic Dreams and to the people who are behind this christmas giveaway. Thank you for defining the true meaning of Christmas. Sharing from the heart and making very one happy.
If I would be the one to choose what prize I would like to win, everything will do. But I really want the Asus Zenfone 2, not just because I can use it for social media, selfie, or other purpose it may serve. I will give it to my Mom as a gift this Christmas. I want to have a clear conversation with my Mom. My mom is really a hard working housewife. She takes care of us a lot. It would be perfect as a gift to her, so I can make her happy. My mom is not that material person, but the most important she receive not only this Christmas, but everyday is my love. Our love. I love my mom so much that I would do anything that will make me happy. She’s also dreaming to have a nice phone.

To be honest I would love to win ANY of the giveaway. Mapili lang ako sa kahit ano dun ay ikakasaya ko na. I’d love to win the Asus Zenphone 2 Laser. With its 16GB internal storage and microSD up to 128GB, I can store more photos and videos of my daughter’s school activities, family’s special occasions and memorable events. Aside from that, it would not take time to upload photos to social media in just one click I can share our photos already. I’m still using a digicam to capture family events and it takes time to transfer it to pc so I can upload it.
I want to win any of the prizes! Anyone would be happy to receive them as post Christmas gifts. The art materials would be perfect for coloring and I badly want the phone or the Googlygooeys Coloring Book so I can color more. 🙂
What prize would I like to win and why?
My top picks would be progress keepers and watercolor sets, lettering books and sketch pads, ink coloring books, and Letters from ABC Postcards. I really prefer art materials if I would choose as I knew this would help me improve my skills.
Doing art is really my way of relaxing especially with the stress I get from too much work, this is also one of my New Year’s Resolution for 2016, to exercise more of my creativity because it would be sad if I won’t use this talent that God gave me. Its just like, a treat for myself after a long day meeting clients here and there with me being workaholic. I never experienced winning in any contest so i’m hoping this would be my first. 🙂

I like to win the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser because I’ve been lemming for it since it was introduced in the market, I love taking photos and I think this is perfect!
ghschool we have this activity where we will be using water colors. I was so amazed that time that I used to blend colors to one another as I will create more interesting colors, which I have been used to put at my canvass. During that time I feel that this is the chance I have been dreaming of, proving myself that I can do better. And luckily I have been achieved it. They we’re so proud to my works, they say hahah. But I believe I am as I did it with all my best. So the point is Water Color is composed of some basic colors but once you blend it with others it can change the whole mood it can be bright nor dim, happy or sad that your canvass will represent.
And these days I’ve in been love to do more portraits of a person using the water colors I used to give it to them during their birthday and fortunately they love it. And once
