Social Networking: The Life (and Death) of a Social Networking Site
Social networking is probably one of the most overused terms these days. I’m still counting how many social networking accounts I’ve already signed up for. Sometimes, people would ask us when I started posting Googly Gooey cartoons and I remember that even before we moved out of Tumblr, we were on Facebook (well, we’re still on Facebook). But wait, before I even created that Facebook page for the Googly Gooeys, I was actually posting my illustrations on my personal Facebook account and prior to that, I used to post everything on my personal Multiply account.
Before I started posting doodles on Multiply, I was blogging then with words in Tagalog 🙂 It was fun while it lasted. I also remember that before I signed up for a Multiply account I would update my Friendster page now and then. I didn’t have a MySpace phase but today, the Googly Gooeys are on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, here and just the other day, I finally convinced myself to sign up for Pinterest. Ha!
What social networking accounts are you on? Which ones do you think are thriving / dying?
P.S. I know we do have a LOT of Social Networking comics & I just realized the other day that of all things, I wasn’t able to capture the life & death of a social networking account. Anyway, here are some old favorites:
Signs That You’re Addicted to Instagram
The Life of a Twitter Trend
Five Signs That You’re Addicted to Facebook
The Five Signs that You’re Addicted to Tumblr 🙂

Fact of the Day #50: You’re addicted to social networking if…

Online Stalkers + Followers: Words Redefined
Facebook status bar asks, “What’s on your mind?”
Tumblr Error Page & Your Personal Issues
Well, that’s just a few of the comics about social networking. If you still can’t get enough, there’s more about the internet 😉
Have fun reading!
