Speaking of messy, I hope you guys can join us on Saturday at Common Thread in Rockwell for the Bensimon DIY Series! 🙂
Bensimon is a sneaker brand from France. It’s made of canvas and it’s fullly customizable. They have so many colors too! 🙂
The Bensimon brand has been around since 1975 and it started as a Tennis sneaker.
So, when we got invited to the Bensimon DIY sneaker session earlier this month and we were happy to be part of the colorful event.
Participants get to choose if they want to get messy with textile paint, add a personal touch to their footwear with buttons or even play with colorful markers.
The event was hosted by none other than the girls of Craft MNL. It was so nice to get to catch up with them and get some crafty insights in between the DIY session. 🙂

On April 25, Saturday, those who love the brand will also get to expeirence the same DIY session. 🙂 Craft MNL will be stationed at the Common Thread Greenbelt branch while Ponggo and I will be at the Rockwell branch. 🙂
If you’re afraid to play with paint and you don’t want to commit to a design, I suggest you sew buttons and play with threads. If you want to start over again, you can always snip off the thread & remove what you’ve done. Hehehe. 🙂
During Bensimon’s DIY series, among others Maricel Laxa also came totally supportive of her two daughters who also got to customize their own pair of sneakers. 🙂
Don’t afraid to get your hands messy with glue & glitter. 🙂 Bensimon will be providing bibs to all you crafty people out there. 🙂
So, how do you join the event on Saturday? Just follow the steps below:
1. Consumers who will buy a pair of Bensimon sneakers at participating stores within the promo period are entitled to a FREE DIY workshop session.
2. Participating stores are CommonThread (Greenbelt and Power Plant), Rustan’s (Gateway, Makati, Alabang Town Center and Shangri La), SM Aura and SM Makati.
3. Materials to be used in the DIY Workshop session will be provided for FREE.
4. Consumers who will avail of the FREE DIY workshop should bring their Bensimon DIY INVITATION together with the purchased Bensimon sneakers to the workshop session happening on April 25, 2015.
5. The consumer may select if he/she wants to attend in CommonThread Greenbelt 5
