Baskin-Robbins, BGC Philippines

So things have been crazy lately.  No, they’re not the I-don’t-have-time-for-anything-anymore-crazy but more of the there’s-so-much-to-think-about-where-do-I-begin type of schedule.

Googly Gooeys Matter of Perspective

Last Tuesday, when I saw scoops of Baskin Robins ice cream being stacked on top of each other during the scoop out, that’s the thought that goes into my head.  If we only thought of our crazy lists, pending work or life problems as scoops of ice cream, that would be fun!  I know it’s easier said than done (that is, the scooping & the changing of perspective) but it’ll be fun if we’re successful at it!

Ever since I saw the buzz about Baskin-Robbins on Instagram, I got excited.  To start with, here’s a brand that we’ve been missing for a long tiiiiime!  My last memory of Baskin-Robbins was its Megamall branch when I was in grade school.  Also, when Ponggo & I would have ice cream anywhere, he’d rave about how it doesn’t compare to Baskin Robbins!  *…and we officially sound like walking advertisements. Haha!*  So, when we attended the launch of Baskin-Robbins in Central Square, Bonifacio Global, we were stoked!  Central Square is in the same area as Jamba Juice, Mango, Cake Club & Nolita but it’s in this new brown building.

They were handing over Mint Chocolate Chip & Very Berry Strawberry Milkshakes that night & I can’t help but get giddy when I caught them pouring them into these cute cups just because they were Pinterest-y. Hahaha. I’m happy to report though that it’s tastes good as it looks. (Which is such a big deal to me these days since it’s all about presentation these days and flavor always gets left out. Yikes!)

Baskin Robbins The Fort 31 Flavors

So, apparently, Baskin-Robbins was founded in 1945 and now has 7,300 shops in nearly 50 countries.  Okay, our country definitely deserves at least a branch!  Baskin Robbins is looking forward to opening more stores here.  *Yay!*

If you feel like your to-do list is piling up, just think of them as scoops of ice cream!

Baskin-Robbins boasts of its heritage of 31 flavors (one for each day of the month).  That’s why they’re offering 31% off for the 31 days of July! 🙂 Actually, if you stare at the Baskin-Robbins logo, you’ll find the numbers 3 & 1 in the B & R! Ha! 😉

Aside from the 31 flavors, they’re also offering Twist Sundae where the ice cream is the topping resting on layers of sweets (talk about role reversal), Flavor Wave, where you can mix up two two flavors for your shakes and this I’d really like to try when I get the chance to visit their shop again: Flavor Wave where you can choose five mini 1oz scoops of your favorite ice cream flavors.

Well, there you go! Baskin Robbins is finally open and I can’t help but get a photo of the confetti during the ribbon-cutting)!  BGC Baskin Robbins Opening Confetti

  1. Just out of curiosity, were you given a receipt when you got your ice cream? I didn’t, and when I asked for it, they said they weren’t able to give them out. Which is against the law, as far as I know.

    1. Hello! What we attended was a launch so everything was just there for people to try. Thanks for letting me know though. I’ll take note of that when I visit again.
