(Tip: For vibrant printouts, we highly recommend printing on photo paper with the highest quality settings on your printer. For this project, we used our Canon G6070 printer.)
Step 4: Create a new project on Cricut Design Space. Download the PNG cut file (available in 2 sizes) below and upload it onto the canvas.
Step 5: Install the Fine Point Blade on your Cricut Machine.
Step 6: Select the cut file and then choose the operation “basic cut”.
Step 7: Pick your pattern and attach it to a Cricut Light or Standard Grip Mat. You can use a brayer to help flatten your material better.
Step 8: On your machine, click “make it” and you’d be prompted to the materials and blade settings screen.
Step 9: Under the “materials” tab, choose the appropriate paper setting. In our case, we used “Heavy Cardstock – 100 lb”. Depending on the thickness of your material, you may have to adjust the pressure and passes. Remember to test first so you don’t waste your materials!
Step 10: Click the “Go” button on your machine and let it cut for you.
Step 11: When the cut is complete, unload the mat and weed out your lollipop holders. You can do this with your hands or if available, a Cricut Weeder. (Check out the video at the end of this post for some “weeding hacks” on how to remove your designs without the paper curling!) Repeat on any pattern or paper you want for more variations
Step 12: Score along the stem and fold to assemble.
Step 13: Insert your lollipop.
Step 14: Tape or glue together to seal and voila!
Step 15: Make as many as you want and it’s time to hand out some candy and sweet nothings!
