This post is dedicated to my non-romantic hubby Ponggo.  I remember very clearly last year, I asked him to buy my favorite paints for me.  I would like to think that every other guy would have probably given this to their girlfriend / wife / loved one complete with pet names, puppy eyes & baby talk.  But, on the other hand, the hubby just handed it very casually in a nonchalant voice.  I think that’s his brand of “love” though–the subtle kind.  The uber sooper dooper understated type you actually have to sit & think about whether that was the gesture of affection.  😀 Hihi.  I always tell my mom & his mom, “I think he loves me but I just need to look deeper”.
In other news,  I can’t believe the Heima #OhBD launch and the Singapore workshops are done!  Speaking of subtle love, thanks to the hubby for being ever so supportive in both endeavors!  Whew!  I was always crazy worried, paranoid, scared and partly nagging myself for putting myself out of my comfort zone while I was still in the process of preparing for both events.
By the way, thank you so so much to those who attended the Watercolor Lettering Workshops at The Untitled Space.  🙂 I’m so grateful to have had the chance to talk and bond with you guys.  I don’t think I would have been able to explore our area that well if it weren’t for you.  I have so much more to write about our Singapore trip but I guess I just need to put it in a separate post with more photos from the hubby’s cam & mine!
Above: It’s the first time we’ve ever including the Googly notebooks in the workshop.  By the way, it will now be included in almost all worksohps & if you can’t wait to have a copy, you may also purchase them at the Hey Kessy shop. 🙂
These apple crumbles were so yummy! 🙂 I actually ended up ordering some more!  This might be the reason why I gained so much weight in Singapore. Hehehe.  Then again, it could be the baby. 😀 *I hope*
The coffee was also really good according to Ponggo. Â I mean, I’m not such a good judge of coffee, I’m fine with 3-in-1 while you have to give the hubby beans to grind!
So happy to have been able to bring these clay figures. Â Well, techincally, I always get to bring them around but I always forget to take pictures of them.
That’s it!  Thanks again for everyone who made this possible especially my friends who kept on encouraging me to pursue this endeavor!  I don’t think I will be able to travel anytime soon as I move into my third trimester but I really hope to be able to come back next year. 🙂
I’ll be posting more photos & details about art shops (thank you workshop participants for the tips), dinner with friends and the vicinity of Bras Basah!
Thanks as well to those who attended the Oh Brighter Days launch at Heima over the weekend!  It really meant a lot to me that I was able to have spent the night with you all.  I consciously avoided addressing the crowd via the mic even if we already planned it because I didn’t want to cry in front of everyone. Hahahaha.  Thank you so much for making us feel like it was our birthday & thank you to Heima as well for this opportunity to explore a different field of design. 🙂
XOXO,
Tipsy ♥
