If you guys have been following us on Instagram, you would have seen a glimpse of The Daykeeper. It’s a one-of-a-kind 2014 photographic journal with illustrations by the very creative Katt San Juan. Katt blogs over at Katrina & The Great World and it’s always refreshing to browse at her photos. I would really really love to have the Instax Mini 8 camera! This will be my first camera ever and I have always dreamed of having a Polaroid! I think it is the best way to have memories really treasured, because saving pictures on flash drives might not long last since there is a danger of losing them if any damages happen to it. With a Polaroid, it is the best way to relive the moments with our loved ones because we know what really happened at the time the photo was taken. I believe that digital and DSLR cameras are just for photography purposes, while the Instax really captures moments and memories.

It’s more like evolution of cameras that we acquired over the years. We first have the film cameras. Minolta SLR dad’s gift to mom during the 80’s, Canon Pixma, Argus pink camera, a kodak cam we think it was from the 50’s it was given to my sister (http://flickr.com/gp/spell_binder_memory_lane/m8W9H5).
Then the Digital cams Kodak easyshare, Nikon 4-MP cam – size AA batt operated. Then 2 DSLRs (Nikon/Canon)…Not that much but hopefully we could also snag old/vintage cameras in the future. Having an instax would be a nice addition to it though. I’m surprised that you asked about it Sir Ponggo π

Generally I love my job but I have one problem. THOSE CHEEKY SQUIRRELS! Argh! they keep changing every clock in the forest so that me and all the other animals spend most of our days confused, chasing our tails in circles. If I had this beautiful timepiece attached to my furry little wrist then I would finally be able to keep everything running smoothly, such as leaving out newspapers for the local deer, making tea for the elderly badgers, and running the baby owls to school every morning. All I want as a gift to myself this coming year is the day keeper 2014. First off, ate Katt San Juan really did an amazing job with the layout and stuff, more than that she somehow inspired me to be more creative and making 2014 more memorable by writing it. I saw the fb page of the day keeper early November, but I still had to save money for presents I had to buy for my loved ones so I didn’t buy it yet. By December I realized my savings are still not enough, so I borrowed money from my mom, but the planner was already sold out. I was HEARTBROKEN. π It’s been 2 weeks since it was sold out but until now I still can’t get over the fact that I wasn’t able to get one. I still daydream writing on those beautiful pages one day. My sister said I was so attached to material things but this one is really different, I know this is cliche but the day keeper 2014 made my spirit alive.

First one would be the 1TB MyPassport Ultra from Western Digital because we all know that there had been misfortunes in our country so I was involved in doing video/photography project for free (pro bono). Since I know this can help others. This hard drive can help me do more creative projects because I would have more space. Especially for the socio-civic videos that I’m creating. This could really help me create simple things that could touch others to make a big difference.
Second would be the FujiFilm Instax Mini 8, since I’m inclined in photography I want this because nothing can beat the fun factor of an instant camera. Admit it, no one cares about the clarity or resolution. What’s important is that everyone in the group can bring home a hard copy of a memory that can serve for a lifetime.
Third would be the Timex watch, since I’m also a student, many times my friends told me to get a watch for practicality because I always ask the time from them. I think this could really help me and hopefully this could be my first watch which I can use in managing my time.

I’ve had a hard time choosing which items that can make my top 3 list since everything is mouth-watering and amazingly good, but if i’ll consider my lifestyle, personality and needs, I think I have it. The following are: (*dandadan) No. 3 is the 1 TB Western Digital Hard Drive, since I have tons of files that needs some reorganizing since my desktop is making its complaint due to large mb’s and slowing the process and functions. Nos. 2, The Instax Mini 8, I love taking pictures because its the only way you can freeze a moment, mind can forget but a hard proof print will never lost. Lastly, (*drum roll pls. ) the one that make to my top 1 spot is the Classic Timex Watch. Since Kindergarten, I believe that “Time is gold” that’s what my teacher told us in several occasions but how can you make it gold, If you, yourself is disoriented to it. Am I right? That’s how a reliable watch can fill up the role. Honestly, I’m desperately in need of one because mine is kind of broke due to old age and reached its retirement (lol). Well, as another slave to art, my top three picks are the Adonit Jot Pro Stylus, School of Satchel Leather Journal and the Timex Watch. I would have put in the instax mini but I am afraid I would be too afraid to use it ahahaha. The Timex watch would definitely give my old battered watch a rest (it’s a Timex too!), after 7 years it still works perfectly…one can never go wrong with a quality watch π Then the School of Satchel Leather Journal, I cannot begin to explain my complicated relationship with paper. I have been on the lookout for good quality journals on which I could draw, paint and go crazy on. Lastly the Adonit Jot Pro Stylus…I actually invested a lot on an iPad mini so I can sketch without having to worry about wasting paper, the problem was no stylus out there suits my needs…then I heard about the Jot Pro, and all my prayers were answered hahahah.

i would love to have the instax mini 8 camera, timex watch and the day keeper 2014 planner. instax because i love pictures. not the digital ones but the printed ones. nowadays, everything has become digital so to have a camera that prints pictures easily would be really great. it brings back childhood memories like waiting for the pictures to develop and being wise enough where to use each film. timex because i always lose track of time. not that i do it intentionally, i just dont like counting it and seeing it tick tock without anything happening. this watch would remind me how to count moments, not count the time. i would be very grateful to have one. last is the day keeper 2014 planner. i really am bad at time management. i dont plan and just do things right away making me procrastinate and cram a lot. a lot of my friends have been telling me to have a planner. i think this planner would be the perfect one and it would be more amazing having it come from you.
